Microsoft Windows, one of the world's largest Operating System platform, is about to launch its new product into the market, Windows10, updating its product line to gain a positive review which they failed to do with the earlier version of Windows 8.
This time, it's a product that mingles both Windows 7 and Windows 8, which they developed considering user views.
Our natural instincts will make us eager to know what's inside for anything that is to launch, and as the release date gets nearer, our expectations only shoot up in magnitudes. So, let's take a peek to know what Microsoft has in it for us.
1) Start Menu
Just as you login, you get to see your home screen, which looks just similar to the one we experienced in Windows 7, with the return of Start Menu which many users wished for.So, you get your Start Menu to work magic with what you need to access quickly, with clearer and neater UI.
2) Games
Users especially kids love playing games, that Microsoft provided built-in, which included minesweeper, hearts etc. Sadly, they unchecked the box for this category in Windows 10. So, make up your mind, when you install Windows10 in desktops that kids use for playing at home.
3) Gadgets
Users of Windows 7 must be popular with gadgets that Microsoft provided such as weather, CPU performance etc. We saw an end to this with Windows 8 itself, but some may hope to see it in Windows 10 as it is mingled version of both 7 and 8, but the shelf is closed for gadgets now with Microsoft removing them from Windows 10.
4) Edge Browser
An all new place to browse for your needs, with crisper page loads and better browsing experience. You can now edit, write text, draw shapes and share the page instantly.Microsoft introduced Edge as a replacement for much trolled Internet Explorer, which looks unlikely to happen for Edge, as Microsoft feels this could be the edge to cross away much-hyped browsers.
5) Cortana
Command your device, not just work, with the introduction of Cortana, your personal voice assistant, though there is a backdrop to this, with language available only in English-(US) format, making it harder to use for people used to speak British English, and other prominent languages, hope we see them pop in sooner.
6) APP STORE
All your apps through a single window, download and manage your apps on all devices within a single window of Appstore, download update and have the joy on the go.
These make up the important changes other than few tweaks and improvements to its built-in apps, like music, video, mail, photos, maps and calendar.
7) Multi Tasking
Your Screen can now be split into 4 windows beside each other, using each window for a separate application all at once, which is called "Task view". The Craze of multitasking is just about to begin in the line of computers, with this move from Microsoft.
8) Connecting X-box to Windows
Gaming seems to be prioritized by Microsoft, providing an interface to connect X-Box Consoles. Compete with users and also record the gameplay with X-Box Consoles connecting them to your Windows 10 devices.
9) Installing Windows 10
Installing windows can be done after you reserve for the download, which can be done from the taskbar of your computer which shows get windows 10, and reserve for download, you will be notified for installation on or after 29th of July 2015, once the download is complete.Though it is available free only for genuine windows users of version 7 and higher, if that's not the case, you need to purchase the software and then install it.
With this, we come to an end about knowing the Windows 10, and its features, which can help you in knowing it well before in hand.
