Awesome Android KitKat Tips and Tricks

Kitkat Android Version

Kitkat Version may not be the latest Version in Android Phones but its still working its magic on many phones in the market right now.
As its majorly used by people there are still some Android tricks that you might not know. So +AllTekkies.net is here at your service.
BUT before that we need an access to all those geeky extras and Kitkat was sneaky enough to hide the developer option from its "normal" users. After you unlock the developer option you are free to tinker as much as you want.

Simply go to Settings>>About Phone>>And tap the 'Build Number' section seven times.

We picked out some worth-knowing tricks of Kitkat version. here it goes :

1. Switch to the ART runtime in Android 4.4 Kitkat

By default the "Dalvik" option is present its a simple just in time compiler which makes the app available for you whenever it is required but the "ART' runtime is an ahead of time compiler which keeps the app ready for you in a ready to run stage before you even launch it.This compiler is more smoother in use and saves battery life.
The only problem is that it is not activated by default. To enable it you need to go to Developer options>>select runtime>>Use ART.
After this your phone will reboot and voila! a much faster usage.

2.Speed up animations by 4x

Animations add that extra oomph to your phone but did you know its a way to distract you while the app loads. But given to the increasing technology , phones are much faster and you don't have to slow down for the animations.
Go to developer menu and set 'Window animation scale' to your desired speed.
To make the transition effect faster you need to change the Animation scale to 0.5x , you also can switch OFF the animation.

3. Locate and Wipe your data.

Losing ones phone is like a terrible nightmare. And the fact that some unknown might get an access to your private stuff is a thing we don't want to even think about. Google helps us in protecting our data once is stolen by totally wiping it off. All you need to do is log in to your Google account and remotely locate your device and wipe the data.
But you need to enable this feature before losing your phone. Go to 'Google setting' application >> Android device manager>> Remotely Locate this device>>allow remote lock and factory reset.

4. To locate or not.

Choose how and who gets access to your location. And you can save battery by using the Battery saver if you use apps that require your location but not the pin point location.
To change the location mode open the Settings menu>>Location>>location mode.

5. Immersive mode

Who doesn't love a full screen usage,  this features enables full screen and removes all the on-screen interface. Most of the apps support this immersive mode and if you want to get them back just swipe down from the top of display and the notification bar appears. Very useful when you are in a middle of an interesting game.

6. Limit your background apps

Seeing a sudden drain in your battery??
you must check your Process stats to see whats causing this drain.
In this, you can control what all apps can work in the background and limit their battery usage.
Once you get all of this in check you can see a significant increase in your battery life.

If you are really into how things work in the backstage , the Process stats shows performance and usage of background , foreground and cached processes.

7. An Easter to cheer you up.

This in particular has no use just a fun multicolored animation !
Treat your eyes with these sweet candy by going to
Settings>>About device and then repeatedly tap on 'Android version' until the "K" animation appears. Now Hold it longer and another animated screen appears. And there it is ! Easter treat !
